a bequest

Types of bequests

There are many ways you can leave a gift in your Will to One Voice.

Your bequest will help those that are less fortunate, and restore dignity to many. We invite you to contact a member of the philanthropy team to find out more about how you can leave a legacy of change.

Your solicitor, trustee or accredited Wills and Estate specialist can assist with the detail, but in general, there are four main types of bequests:

Residuary Bequest

A residuary bequest is when you leave a portion or the remainder of your estate to One Voice after all other bequest and other financial commitments have been honoured. This is a wonderful way to ensure One Voice gets the most help possible, whilst also ensuring your loved ones are taken care of.

Contingent Bequest

This type of bequest is fulfilled if certain conditions are met. For instance, if your primary beneficiary does not survive you, you can indicate your next choice through a contingent designation.
